Reproductive Anatomy




    The normal reproductive tract of the cow consists of:
    1. Cervix, approximately 2 to 4 inches long and .75 to 1.25 inches wide (larger in previously pregnant cow)
    2. Uterus, which enlarges during pregnancy, and moves forward and downward from the floor of the pelvis into the abdominal cavity
    3. Two uterine horns that join in the body of the uterus.
    4. Oviducts, which connect the ovaries to the uterus
    5. Ovaries
    6. Ovarian ventricle
    7. Corpus luteum
    8. Intercornual ligament
    9. Rectum
